Ongoing support for OCHI

Support that continues.

The SOLODKO SHKURIDIN Charitable Foundation continues to support the 425th Separate Unmanned Systems Battalion OCHI.

We have been helping the unit for a long time. This ongoing fundraiser is a way to contribute to its current needs: from electronic reconnaissance and warfare equipment to vehicles, generators, batteries and other essential supplies.

The people behind the technology

OCHI grew from a small aerial reconnaissance team in 2022 into a separate unmanned systems battalion. Valerii Povarov described this development in a March 2025 interview with Interfax-Ukraine.

The unit’s work involves pilots, engineers, communications specialists and IT professionals. Supporting it means looking beyond a single type of equipment.

In an interview with UNIAN, Povarov shared a telling example: an idea for streaming performances from the Lviv Opera became the basis of the OCHI video streaming system. Civilian experience found a new purpose in the country’s defence.

For us, there is a personal connection too

Oleksandr Matviienko is an attorney we worked with at Sayenko Kharenko. In an interview published on 31 May 2022, he recalled deciding to defend Ukraine on 24 February, after learning that his scheduled court hearings had been postponed.

For us, helping service members also means supporting people we know from civilian life. That support matters beyond individual fundraising campaigns.

What your support funds

  • Electronic reconnaissance and warfare

    Electronic reconnaissance and warfare equipment, supporting equipment and components, in response to agreed requests from the unit.

  • Transport and maintenance

    Vehicles, repairs, spare parts and other supplies needed to keep transport working.

  • Power supplies

    Generators, batteries, portable power stations, chargers, cables and other equipment to power the unit’s technology.

  • Communications and computers

    Communications equipment, laptops and supporting equipment for the unit’s specialists.

  • Reconnaissance equipment and components

    Reconnaissance drones, observation equipment, components and equipment for their maintenance.

  • Other agreed needs

    Tools, consumables, gear and other necessary supplies requested by the unit.

These are areas of support, not a list of equipment already ordered. Purchases and their priority depend on agreed requests from the unit and available funds.

Support does not end with one delivery

One delivery of aid addresses a particular need. Ongoing support allows us to take on the next one.

This fundraiser is not tied to a single vehicle, generator or equipment package. Its purpose is to support OCHI’s current needs, so there is no final target after which that support ends.

Donations designated for OCHI support the agreed needs of this unit. They are separate from donations to the foundation’s general fundraiser.

The funds go to the SOLODKO SHKURIDIN Charitable Foundation’s bank account with a payment reference identifying support for OCHI. The unit is the beneficiary of the aid organised by the foundation.

Can I offer equipment instead of money?

You can propose equipment support using the foundation’s website contacts. Before purchasing or sending anything, agree what is needed and how it should be delivered.
